Known for their blasts of stomping fuzzed-up indie guitar, savage riffs and hook-heavy choruses; Yorkshire trio FloodHounds release new single ‘Quicksand’. Another darkly melodic, menacing tune brimming with sinister riffs and powerful rhythm, seeking to find control amongst the chaos.

FloodHounds are a Sheffield alt‑rock trio delivering fuzz‑driven riffs, sharp hooks and high‑energy live shows built to ignite festival crowds. Their lean three‑piece setup hits with desert‑rock grit and punk‑edged urgency.

The band have supported Kid Kapichi and recently opened for Skindred, while also being shortlisted for 2026 festivals including Tramlines, Y‑Not and SXSW London. They’ve already built a strong festival presence with previous appearances at The Great Escape, Y‑Not, Tramlines and more.

Recent singles One Horse Race and Black & Blue showcase a sharpened grit shaped by Noel Gallagher’s advice to “ramp up the attitude.” and BBC Introducing have championed the band with repeat airplay and “best of the year” features, while Far Out Magazine praised their “immensely catchy melodies and raucous guitar riffs.”

With three shows in Switzerland later this year, new music and a growing national and international live presence, FloodHounds are heading into their biggest year yet, bringing gritty alt‑rock, melodic bite and a proven festival pedigree to every stage they hit.
